Dakona was a Canadian alternative rock, pop rock, and Christian rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia, formed in 1997. The ensemble consisted of lead vocalist Ryan McAllister, bassist Shane Dueck, guitarist Brook Winstanley, and drummer John Biondolillo. The group independently released the studio albums Good Enough for Me (1998) and Ordinary Heroes (2000). In 2003, the band signed with Maverick Records and released the album Perfect Change. The recording featured the song “Good (I've Got a Lot to Learn)”. The group toured the United States to promote the release before becoming inactive in 2005 following the dissolution of Maverick Records. McAllister subsequently released the solo albums Sketches and Music for a rainy town. He also performed with the ensemble North Country Gentlemen, formerly known as Cowboys and Indians.
