Søren Kjærgaard, born on March 5, 1978, in Lemvig, Jütland, Denmark, is a Danish jazz musician and composer. He began piano lessons at age seven and studied at the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen. In 2000, Søren Kjærgaard's trio Fuchsia won the Nordic Young Jazz Competition. From 2001 to 2002, he lived in New York City, collaborating with notable jazz musicians. Upon returning to Denmark, he served as artistic director and arranger for the Musikkonservatorium Kopenhagen's band Ultraktement. In 2004, his debut album Bandapart was released, followed by Amfebia (2005) and a solo album titled Keys (2006). He won the Jazzpreis of the Danish National Radio in 2004. His subsequent albums include Femklang (2011), Concrescence (2018), and Another Way of the Heart (2022). In 2015, Søren Kjærgaard became an associate professor at the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium.
