The Friggs, a garage rock band from Camden, New Jersey, formed in 1990 with original members Palmyra Delran on guitar and Jezebel as singer/songwriter. The band played their first show in Philadelphia on New Year's Eve 1991/1992 and released their debut single, a cover of The Troggs' "Come Now", in 1991. Following several more singles and an EP, America's Only Rock & Roll Magazine Parody, Jezebel left the band and was replaced by Lexi Plumm. The Friggs released their only album, Rock Candy, in 1997 on E-Vil Records, which received positive reviews and led to opening slots for Beck and Cheap Trick. They performed at SXSW in 1997 and disbanded in 2000. Notable songs include "Bad Word for a Good Thing", featured in the films Jawbreaker and Fuck, and "Shake", which appeared in Superbad. The band reunited briefly in 2008 for additional performances.
