Daniel Sentacruz Ensemble was an Italian vocal and instrumental band formed in 1974 by Ciro Dammicco, Gianni Minuti Muffolini, Gianni Calabria, Rosanna Barbieri (also known as Linda Lee), Angelo Santori, Bruno Santori, and members from La Zona Verde. The group's debut single "Soleado" marked their breakthrough, participating in the 1974 Festivalbar. This track was a reworked version of a solo recording by Dammicco titled "Le rose blu (La rosa azul)", with the lyrics removed. The following year, they released "Un Sospero", which became the soundtrack for a notable advertising campaign featuring Mike Bongiorno. In 1976, Daniel Sentacruz Ensemble competed in the Sanremo Music Festival with "Linda Bella Linda", achieving an eighth-place finish. They returned to Sanremo in 1977 as guests with "Alláh! Alláh!" and again in 1978 with "½ notte". Their discography includes albums such as Soleado (1974), Dos (1976), Daniel Sentacruz Ensemble (1977), and Diventiamo Più Amici (1979). The group underwent several lineup changes, with Mara Cubeddu leaving in 1979 and Carmen Caídos Alvarez joining. In 1979, the band changed its name to Sentacruz. After disbanding in 1980, notable posthumous releases include Soledad / Soleado '90 (1990) and Made In Italy (2004).
