Mari Rantasila, born Ritva Leena Rantasila in 1963 in Pori, Finland, is a versatile Finnish actress, director, and singer. She studied as an actress at the Helsinki Theatre Academy, graduating with a master's degree in 1987. Her breakthrough as a singer came in 1989 with the release of "Auringossa". Rantasila released several albums throughout her career, including Secret Life (1987), The Forgiving Circuit (1993), and Classics (2000). She won the Best Female Soloist Emma prize in 2000. In addition to her music career, Rantasila is known for acting roles in TV series such as Raid and Kotikatu, as well as films like Henkesi edestä (Absolution). She directed short films and three Risto the Rapper films. In 2016, she won the Best Supporting Female Actress Jussi Award for her role in Henkesi edestä.
