Margareta Bengtson (born February 21, 1966) was a Swedish jazz singer and harpist from Stockholm. Bengtson studied at the Royal College of Music and co-founded the a cappella quintet The Real Group in 1984. The singer remained with the quintet until 2006. In 1997, the Contemporary A Cappella Society awarded Bengtson the Best Female Vocalist award.Bengtson released the debut solo album I'm Old Fashioned in 2006, which reached number 53 on the Swedish charts. The singer released the album En gång i Stockholm in 2009. In 2012, Bengtson performed on the Home for Christmas tour with Anne Sofie von Otter. The harpist released the albums Sorgen och glädjen and Ballads in 2017 in collaboration with Mathias Algotsson. Bengtson performed a repertoire of jazz, folk, and classical works, collaborating with musicians including Nils Landgren and Magnus Lindgren.
