Mieczysław Wojciech Szcześniak, known professionally as Mietek Szczesniak, was born on July 9, 1964, in Kalisz, Poland. He is a Polish singer who developed an early interest in music. Szczesniak made his debut in Poland in 1985. In 1999, he represented Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest with "Przytul mnie mocno", placing 18th. His discography includes several albums such as Spoza Nas, Raduj Sie Swiecie - Koledy, and Zwykly Cud. Szczesniak's notable collaborations include the album Songs from Yesterday, which he recorded with Krzysztof Herdzin, achieving platinum status in Poland.
