Huddersfield Choral Society, founded in 1836 in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England, is a choir recognized as one of Britain's leading choral groups. In 1986, they released The Hymns Album, which reached number 8 on the UK Albums Chart, followed by The Carols Album, which peaked at number 29. The choir has collaborated with notable orchestras such as the Orchestra of Opera North and the BBC Philharmonic, and worked under conductors including Martyn Brabbins and Malcolm Sargent. Significant recordings include The Crucifixion (2009) and Messiah (2010).
