The National Bank was a Norwegian pop rock band from Oslo, formed in 2003. The group consisted of Lars Horntveth, Morten Qvenild, Thomas Dybdahl, Nikolai Eilertsen, and Martin Horntveth. They initially performed a commissioned show for the Vestfoldspillene music festival. The band released the debut album The National Bank in 2004, which featured the recording “Tolerate”. Music critics named the track the best Norwegian song of that year, and the group received the Spellemannprisen for best Pop band in 2004.The band released the second album, Come On Over to the Other Side, in 2008, which included the recording “Let Go”. During the winter of 2008 and 2009, they performed in Norway, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Following these performances, the members returned to their primary projects, such as Jaga Jazzist and BigBang.
