Jens Lindemann (born 1966) is a German-born Canadian trumpet soloist of Polish Jewish heritage based in Los Angeles. Lindemann studied at McGill University and the Juilliard School of Music. Between 1996 and 2001, Lindemann performed as a member of the Canadian Brass. His solo discography included the albums Flying Solo (2003), Rising Sun (2005), and The Classic Trumpet (2008). Lindemann appeared at major international venues as an orchestral soloist and recitalist, including a 2005 command performance for Queen Elizabeth II and a 2012 debut as the first Canadian trumpeter featured as a soloist at Carnegie Hall. Lindemann served as a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles. In 2014, Lindemann was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada, becoming the first classical brass soloist to receive the distinction. His career achievements included nominations for two Grammy Awards and five Juno Awards.
