Eternal Elysium, a Japanese doom metal band, was formed in 1991 by guitarist/vocalist Yukito Okazaki. The group's early lineup included bassist Atsutoshi Tachimoto and drummer Jiro Murakami, who contributed to the demo recordings and the debut album Faithful. Over the years, Eternal Elysium experienced numerous line-up changes, with notable members including bassist Jun Kawasaki, drummer Yashuhiro Okada, bassist Eiichi Okuyama, and drummer Takashi Kuroda. In 2000, they signed to MeteorCity Records and released their second album Spiritualized D. The band continued to release albums such as Share (2002), Searching Low & High (2005), and Within the Triad (2009). They also collaborated on splits with bands like Of the Spacistor and Black Cobra, and appeared on live DVDs. In 2016, after a seven-year hiatus, Eternal Elysium released their sixth album Resonance of Shadows.
