Sun Dial, a British psychedelic rock band formed in 1990 by Gary Ramon, emerged from the remnants of his previous group, The Modern Art. The band's breakthrough came with their debut album, Other Way Out, released in 2010, which garnered critical acclaim and sold out its initial run through word-of-mouth marketing. Despite limited mainstream success due to its authentic 1960s psychedelic sound being out of fashion at the time, the album remains popular within the psychedelic and progressive rock communities. Subsequent releases explored various branches of psychedelia, including Zen For Sale (2003) and their eponymous album Sun Dial (2010). The band's music has been compared to prominent artists such as Monster Magnet and Nirvana, influenced by the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd.
