Massimo Quarta, born on October 16, 1965 in Bournemouth, United Kingdom, is an Italian violinist and conductor. He began his musical studies at the Tito Schipa Conservatory in Lecce at age 11, later studying at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Quarta's career as a soloist includes performances with notable orchestras such as the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Málaga, and the Vienna Philharmonic. He has also taught at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland in Lugano. As a conductor, he was artistic director of the Abruzzo Symphony Institution Orchestra and the Tito Schipa Foundation Orchestra in Lecce. In 1991, he won the Paganini Prize.
