Little Caesar, an American hard rock band, was formed in the late 1980s by vocalist Ron Young. The group initially gained traction with their independently released EP Name Your Poison and a feature on the 1989 Metal Blade compilation Street Survivors. This led to their signing with DGC Records, a subsidiary of Geffen Records, in 1989. Their debut self-titled album Little Caesar, produced by Bob Rock, was released in 1990 and received positive reviews. The album included the hit single "Chain of Fools", a cover of Aretha Franklin's song, which reached Number 139 on the US Billboard 200. Despite their chart success, Little Caesar faced challenges with exposure on MTV due to their 'Hells Angels image'. Their sophomore release, Influence, was released in 1992 but failed to match the success of their debut. The band disbanded shortly after, coinciding with the rise of alternative rock in the early 1990s. Ron Young later sang with various bands, including The Four Horsemen and Manic Eden. Little Caesar reformed for live shows in 2001 and released Redemption in 2009, followed by American Dream in 2012. They performed at the Download Festival in June 2013 after being unable to do so two decades prior due to financial constraints from their label.
