Nolwenn Korbell, born in 1968 in Quimper, France, is a Breton-French singer, composer and actress. Raised in Douarnenez in a family that spoke Breton daily, she learned guitar after her baccalaureate and began performing in local theater. Her music career launched with the 2003 album N'eo ket echu. She released the album Bemdez c'houloù in 2006, which included an English single, and in 2007 followed with Red, recorded with guitarist Soïg Sibéril, featuring the song "Bugale Breizh". The 2010 album Noazh shifted to blues and rock, and she participated in the Celtic Connections festival in 2006. She continued with Skeud ho roudoù in 2015, receiving the collar of the Order of the Ermine in 2016, and in 2018 issued the pop-rock group album Avel Azul, while maintaining collaborations with Frank Darcel and Gilles Servat and various stage and film roles.
