Sally Mary Seltmann, born Sally Mary Russell on September 11, 1975, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, is an Australian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. She began her musical journey as the vocalist of the power pop group Lustre 4 in the early 1990s. In 2000, Seltmann adopted the stage name New Buffalo and released her debut track "16 Beats" via Ben Lee's website. Under this moniker, she produced her first album, The Last Beautiful Day, in 2004. Collaborating with Canadian singer-songwriter Feist, Seltmann co-wrote the song "1234", which became a Top 10 hit on the United States Billboard Hot 100 for Feist in 2007. In 2010, she released her third solo album Heart That's Pounding. Other album releases included Somewhere, Anywhere (2007), Hey Daydreamer (2014), and Early Moon (2022).
