Brooke Ellen Miller, born on January 14, 1982, in Montague, Prince Edward Island, Canada, is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician. She began playing saxophone as a child and took up the guitar at age ten, starting to write her own songs around age 11. At 12, she formed a trio that toured the Maritimes as an opening act for other bands. Miller released her first independent CD, Lending an Hourglass, in 2003. She was later signed to Sony/ATV Music Publishing and released her album You Can See Everything on Sony's Hickory Records in 2007. In 2010, Miller released the self-produced album Shake It Off on Candyrat Records. Her self-titled album featuring new material and re-recorded songs was issued in 2011.
