Frank Nimsgern is a German jazz-rock and musical composer, producer, guitarist, and pianist from Saarbrücken, born on May 4, 1969. He is the son of opera singer Siegmund Nimsgern. Nimsgern performed globally for the Goethe-Institut before releasing his debut studio album, Contrasts, in 1990. In 1996, he collaborated with Chaka Khan and Billy Cobham. Beginning in 1998, Nimsgern served as a musical director for the Friedrichstadt-Palast in Berlin. He composed the song "Can You See the Light" for the Siegfried & Roy show in Las Vegas and provided scores for the television series Tatort starting in 2000. His musical Der Ring premiered in 2007. In 2021, he produced the album 80 plus with Dieter Hallervorden, which reached number 50 on the German charts. Nimsgern adapted Shakespeare’s The Tempest as the musical Der Sturm, which premiered in June 2022. His musical Zauberflöte premiered in Munich in April 2024.
