Yannic Munzinger, known professionally as DCVDNS, was born on 20 February 1988 in St. Ingbert, Germany, and emerged as a German rap singer and founder of Rat‑a‑tat Records. His early exposure to hip‑hop came through the collective Die Coole Gang, where he released several YouTube videos beginning in 2007. DCVDNS’s first commercial breakthrough occurred with the free EP Könnt Ihr Behalten on 16 December 2011, followed by the studio album Brille on 24 February 2012, which peaked at number 57 on the German charts and featured collaborations with MC Basstard, Boba Fettt, and others. The subsequent albums Der Wolf Im Schafspelz on 20 September 2013, Big Bad Birds on 7 November 2014 as part of Inglebirds, and Der Erste Tighte Wei$$e on 7 July 2017 expanded his discography, with Der Erste Tighte Wei$$e receiving media attention for its controversial lyricism. DCVDNS toured extensively, supporting acts such as Kool Savas and participating in the Bundesvision Song Contest in 2013 and 2014. In August 2015 he signed with Universal Urban, and his later releases Epstein Island on 11 September 2020 and Dead Body Bag on 5 March 2021 continued to define his career.
