Schwartz (born July 11, 1981 in Cologne) is a rapper, producer, lyricist, writer and podcaster from Germany. Born Raphael Brinkmann, the artist met the Berlin rapper Blokkmonsta in 2005. Through him, Schwartz was signed to Blokkmonsta's label Hirntot Records a year later. Since 2007, Schwartz has worked for the label as executive co-producer and has been involved in almost all of the label's releases. Even before his solo releases, Schwartz worked regularly with other underground rap artists, including Frauenarzt, Kaisaschnitt, Manny Marc, MC Basstard, B-Tight, Smoky, GPC, DNP and King Orgasmus. In 2008, Schwartz released his solo debut with Lady Bitch Gay. His lyrics are mostly about horror films. The rapper regularly releases albums. It was not until 2017 that Schwartz, together with Blokkmonsta and their joint album Flüsse aus Blut 2, made his first chart entry in Germany at number 44. Schwartz achieved his first chart position with a solo album in 2022 with the album Lockdown. The longplayer reached number 23 in the German charts. Together with YouTuber Tommy "Trollwut" and producer Robbster, Schwartz has been a permanent member of the Ohne Sinn & Aber podcast team since the beginning of 2021. In June 2024, the rapper returns with the album Nachtmensch. The album climbs to number 72 in Germany. In addition to his musical career, Schwartz has been writing books and poems regularly since 2011.
