Missing Heart is a German Eurodance project established in 1994 by producers David Brandes and Felix Gauder. Created as a romantic alternative to their group E-Rotic, the project debuted with the single “Wild Angels” featuring vocalist Lyane Leigh. The group released a cover of “Moonlight Shadow” in 1997 with vocals by Elke Schlimbach. In 2000, Missing Heart issued the studio album Mystery, which achieved success in Japan and Eastern Europe. This period featured singer Lydia Pockaj on new versions of “Charlene” and “Moonlight Shadow”. The single “Tears in May” received significant television promotion in Germany and featured Manu Moré in the music video. In 2001, under the pseudonym Apanachee, the group released “In Aeternum”, which reached Number 1 on the Russian music charts. Missing Heart became inactive in 2002 but was revived by Brandes in 2023 with the single “Forever Young” featuring Janine Brändle. The project continued in 2024 with the tracks “Runaway” and “Stay with Me”.
