Schöngeist is a German dark rock group formed in Munich. Their initial breakthrough came with the release of their debut album Liebeskrieger in 2009. In 2010, Schöngeist received promotion from Initiative Musik and subsequently signed with Oblivion, a subsidiary of SPV. The following year, they were named Band of the Month by the online magazine Gothic Family. Their second album Keine Zeit, released in 2011, featured collaborations between lead singer Alexander Wesselsky and Timur Karakus on several tracks, with Carlos Perón serving as executive producer for both Liebeskrieger (2009) and Keine Zeit (2011). Schöngeist gained supra-regional recognition through tours and festival appearances alongside groups such as Letzte Instanz and Eisbrecher. In 2012, they received the Orkus Newcomer award. Their third album, Wehe!, was released in 2013. Notable singles also include "Sonne der Nacht" (2011) and "Zusammen alleine" (2013).
