Stravaganzza, a Spanish Gothic metal band from Madrid, was formed in the early 2000s. Members Pepe Herrero, Edu Fernández, Dani Pérez, and Leo Jiménez comprised the band's earliest formation. Their debut album, Primer Acto, released in 2004, featured tracks like "Dios" and "Oveja negra". In 2005, they followed up with Sentimientos, a thematically focused album exploring human emotions. The band's lineup changed in 2006 when Pérez and Fernández left due to scheduling conflicts. Stravaganzza continued with new members Carlos Expósito on drums and Patricio Babasasa on bass. Their third studio album, Requiem, was released in 2007 and included collaborations with Molly from Hamlet and a cover of Tino Casal's "Eloise". The band went on hiatus in September 2010 but reunited in January 2017, releasing their first live album, La Noche del Fénix, in 2020.
