Muzion, a Canadian rap group from Montreal, was formed in 1996 by Dramatik, Imposs, and J.Kyll. The group gained initial recognition for their realistic lyrics and unique style, performing on local scenes and being invited to the Francofolies de La Rochelle in France the same year they were formed. Muzion signed with BMG Entertainment in 1998 and released their debut album Mentalité moune morne… (Ils n’ont pas compris) in 1999. The group toured extensively, opening for notable acts such as Eminem and NTM, and collaborated with Wyclef Jean on the track "24 heures à vivre" from his album Welcome to Haiti: Creole 101. Muzion won the ADISQ Prix Félix for Hip-Hop Album of the Year twice - in 2000 and 2003.
