Missfits, a German cabaret duo consisting of Stephanie Überall and Gerburg Jahnke, originated from Oberhausen. The duo began their career in 1984 and gained prominence through performances on various German small stages, notably the Ebertbad in Oberhausen, as well as regular television appearances. Their breakthrough came with their own series Missfits & Verwandtschaft on WDR between 1996 and 2002. They also starred in the TV series Der Tod ist kein Beinbruch, portraying sisters Mimi Deckers and Hilde Neumann who inherit a funeral home. Missfits released several albums, including Jetzt Mit Noch Mehr Männer (2001) and Letzte Runde (2004). The duo won multiple awards, including the 1993 German Cabaret Award and an Honorary Gold Award at the 2011 Zeck Cabaret Prize. Missfits went their own ways in February 2005 following their final performance at the St. Pauli Theater in Hamburg.
