Vega4 was a British alternative rock band formed in London in 1999. The group signed with indie label Taste Media in 2000, releasing their debut EP Better Life EP the following year. Vega4's follow-up album, Satellites, was released in 2001. The band went into a period of dormancy after the album's release but returned to prominence in 2006 when they signed with Columbia Records in the U.K. and Epic Records in the U.S. Their single "Life Is Beautiful" (2006) gained significant exposure through its use in episodes of TV series Grey's Anatomy and One Tree Hill, as well as in films like Streetdance. Vega4’s second album, You & Others, was released in late 2006 in the UK and mid-2007 in the US. The band completed their first US tour in April 2007 and played at the SXSW festival that year. Vega4 disbanded in 2008.
