Four Jacks was a Danish vocal quartet formed in 1956 by Poul Rudi and Otto Brandenburg. John Mogensen joined shortly after and assumed creative leadership, adding Bent Werther to the lineup. The group made their television debut in 1957. Brandenburg departed in 1958 to pursue a solo career and was replaced by James Rasmussen. The quartet became inactive in 1966. Notable recordings include their versions of “On the Road to Mandalay” (1913), “Åh Marie, a ve hjem te dig”, and “Tjener jeg er tørstig”. In 2005, a re-release of their hits reached Number 1 on the Danish Top 40 charts. Discography releases include the albums Four Jacks (1960) and Vi sang dem som børn (1960).
