BlackJack is a Swedish dansband formed in Sundsvall, Sweden, in 1990. The band became known for their distinctive take on the dansbandsmusik genre, taking its name from Colin Nutley's 1990 comedy of the same name. They were founded by Tony Ljungström and Torbjörn Eriksson, and their lineup consists of members Kjelle Danielsson, Peder Matz, Ove Olsson, Mikael Östlin, and Morgan Östlin. BlackJack made a splash with the release of the single "Inget Stoppar Oss Nu." This single was a major success for the band, leading to the release of their debut album Den Stora Kärleken in 1991. This was followed by a series of albums, including Om Det Känns Rätt (1996) and Du Och Jag Och Kärleken (1998, with each release steadily raising the group's profile within the Swedish music scene. In 2001, their fourth album En Gång Till peaked at number 53 in the Swedish Albums Chart. In the following years, they released Fina Flickor (2004), Vad Vore Livet Utan Kvinnor (2006) and the double-disc greatest-hits collection Det Bästa Med BlackJack (2008), which managed to crack the local Top 10. This helped the group gain momentum as 2009's Summertime Blues climbed to number 11 on the albums chart thanks to the hit single "Mona Lisa." After that period, the group became a household name and began making appearances in various TV shows and commercials, consolidating their popularity through LPs such as Casino (2012), Rosalie (2017), and En Två Kanske Tre (2019).
