Gamine is a French pop group that emerged at the end of the eighties, in the wake of the Bordeaux rock scene that paved the way for Noir Désir. Despite a talented debut album, a genuine hit ("Voilà les anges"), and a few remarkable covers ("Harley Davidson", by Serge Gainsbourg), the group failed to survive the lack of popular recognition, and, like many of its peers, broke up amid indifference.
