Eddie Barclay (real name Edouard Ruault, 1921-2005), nicknamed "l'empereur du microsillon", was a pioneer of French phonographic publishing and production, before coming to symbolize the image of French showbiz and the clichés that go with it (repeated weddings, Tropezian parties, excesses of all kinds...).
