Degradead is a Swedish melodic death metal ensemble formed in 2000 in Stockholm. Originally known as Septima, the group consisted of David Szücs, Kenneth Helgesson, Frederik Johansson, and Michel Bärzén. The band released several demos including “Born in Sin” (2002) and “Sonnett to Death” (2003). In 2003, Mikael Sehlin replaced Johansson as lead vocalist. After renaming the group Degradead in 2007, the ensemble released its debut studio recording, Til Death Do Us Apart, in 2008. The album was produced by members of the band In Flames. The group followed with the recording Out of Body Experience (2009). The ensemble's music was compared to the work of Dimension Zero and Soilwork. Its discography also included the studio recordings A World Destroyer (2011), The Monster Within (2013), and Degradead (2016). Amit Mohla joined the ensemble as drummer in 2012.
