Wesley Louissaint, known professionally as Wesli, and born on September 6, 1980, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is a Haitian-Canadian singer-songwriter, record producer, and guitarist. In 2007, he formed the group Wesli Band in Montreal, blending world music, afrobeat, hip-hop, soul, rara, and Haitian roots music. His solo debut album, Kouraj, was released in 2009, which led to performances with notable artists such as Magic System and Tiken Jah Fakoly. Wesli won the Babel Med Music Award in Marseille, France, in 2010. Subsequent albums include ImmiGrand (2015) and Tradisyon (2022).
