The Harden Trio, comprising Bobby Harden and his sisters Robbie and Arlene, was formed in England, Arkansas. The trio began performing as teenagers on shows like the Ozark Jubilee and the Louisiana Hayride. In 1964, they signed with Columbia Records and released their debut single "Poor Boy", followed by their breakthrough crossover hit "Tippy Toeing" which peaked at number 2 on the Hot Country Songs charts and number 44 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Harden Trio charted six times on the Hot Country Songs charts, releasing albums: Tippy Toeing, and Sing Me Back Home. After disbanding in mid-1968, Arlene and Robbie released a final single as The Hardens, "Who Loves Who". Bobby briefly formed another trio before going solo, charting several singles through the mid-1970s. His greatest success came as a songwriter, with hits for Loretta Lynn, Reba McEntire, and Mark Chesnutt. Arlene also pursued a solo career, releasing three albums and achieving notable success with "Lovin' Man (Oh Pretty Woman)". Robbie joined the Johnny Cash Show in 1969. Bobby Harden passed away on May 30, 2006.
