Psyched Up Janis was a Danish rock band formed in 1989 by Sune Rose Wagner, Martin Bjerregaard, and Jakob Jørgensen. The trio played their first concert under the name Western Front and recorded their debut demo I Never Change in 1992. After moving to Copenhagen, they released the self-financed EP I Died in My Teens, which featured the single "I Died in My Teens" that became Single of the Week in Kerrang!. The band's debut full-length album Swell was recorded in Wales with producer Craig Leon and released in 1994. In 1995, they signed with British record company This Way Up/Universal and moved to England. Notable releases include Beats Me (1997), which was mixed at Abbey Road Studios, and Enter The Super Peppermint Lounge (1998). Psyched Up Janis disbanded in 1999 after releasing the acoustic album The Quiet Album and playing their final concert at the Roskilde Festival.
