Wyatt Rice, born on January 6, 1965, in Long Beach, California, is an American guitarist and bluegrass musician. He began playing guitar at age six, learning from his father Herb Rice. At 17, Wyatt Rice joined his brother Tony Rice's band, the Tony Rice Unit. In 1990, he released his debut solo album New Market Gap on Rounder Records. Throughout his career, Rice has collaborated with various artists and formed several bands, including Santa Cruz in 1995, which released Picture in a Tear. He joined Ronnie Bowman’s band The Committee in 2003 and began touring with Richard Bennett in 2013. In 2016, he and Dan Menzone released Something Out of the Blue under Wyatt Rice and Dan Menzone Alliance. He is also a member of the Crooked Road Guitar Masters and serves as an adjunct faculty member at East Tennessee State University.
