Luiza Borac was a Romanian classical pianist born in 1968 in Pitești, Romania. She began her musical education at age four and graduated from the "George Enescu" Music High School in Bucharest. Borac received a scholarship from the Chopin Society to study at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. Her career included performances at Carnegie Weill Hall and Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Albums include George Enescu: The Three Piano Suites (2003) and Nostalgic Chants (2014). Borac received over 30 national and international awards, including the BBC Music Award for best instrumental CD in 2007. Her work often focused on composer George Enescu, whose complete piano works she recorded.
