Alpenrebellen, a group from Austria, was formed in 1993 in Eisenerz, Obersteiermark. The band emerged from the fusion of a rock band and an Oberkrainer group. Their music blended elements of mainstream rock, Oberkrainer music, traditional folk music, and popular Schlager. In their second year, Alpenrebellen achieved significant success with "Die Leut am Land" (1994), which secured third place at the Grand Prix der Volksmusik in Zürich. Notable albums include Die Leut am Land (1994), which reached gold status in Austria, and Ho-la-di-je-i-di (1996). The group disbanded in 2013 but reunited in 2025.
