La MC Malcriado is a French Cape Verdean music group from the Parisian suburbs, formed in 1998 by four members of Cape Verdean origin: Stomy Bugsy, Jacky Brown, Izé, and Jpax. They released their debut album Nos pobreza ke nos rikéza in 2006 under the Lusafrica label, which won the Kora Music Awards 2010 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Their first concert took place at São Vicente during an annual festival in 1998, and they performed at the Zénith de Paris for La Nuit du Cap-Vert alongside Cesária Évora and Ferro Gaita. The group toured extensively across Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe. In 2011, they released their second album Fidju Di Kriolu, featuring collaborations with various artists including Celia Flore, Eddy Fortes, and Iduino from Ferro Gaita.
