Suzanna Lubrano, born November 10, 1975 in Cape Verde, is a singer who moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands at age four. She began singing professionally at eighteen with the Cape Verdean band Rabelados, releasing her debut album Sem bó nes mund in 1996. In 2008, she released Saida, which included tracks written with Ronald Rubinel and Jacob Desvarieux. Suzanna Lubrano won the Kora All African Music Award for Best West African Female in 2003, becoming the first Cape Verdean artist to achieve this. She has also received Gold and Platinum albums in Africa and was nominated for various awards including the African Entertainment Awards in 2015.
