Noel Pagan, known professionally as Noel, was born in 1965 in the Bronx, New York City. He is an American recording artist and singer specializing in electronic music and Latin freestyle. His breakthrough came with his debut single "Silent Morning", which reached number 47 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 6 on the Dance Club Songs chart in 1987. This success was followed by his second single, "Like a Child", which peaked at number 67 on the Hot 100 and became his first Number 1 hit on the Dance Club Songs chart in 1988. Noel's self-titled debut album Noel, released the same year, reached number 126 on the Billboard 200. He continued to top the dance charts with "Out of Time" later that year.
