Cecelia Lipton Farris, born Cecelia May Lipton on December 25, 1923 in Edinburgh, Scotland, was a British singer. Known as Celia Lipton, she began her career as a singer in England and later transitioned into acting, appearing in films such as Calling Paul Temple and This Was a Woman. Her early works include The Best of Times / Broadway & Big Band Sounds (1983) and Merry Christmas (1987), both under Independent Record Corp. Her subsequent albums include Timeless Magic Moments - Love To The U.S.A. Volume 1 (1988) and Maybe This Time (1997). In addition to her acting and singing career, Lipton was also a philanthropist, raising funds for the Salvation Army, the American Heart Association, and the National Trust for Scotland. She passed away on March 11, 2011, in Palm Beach, Florida.
