Ana Blanco Soto, known as Tia Anica la Piriñaca, was born in 1899 in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. She began her career as a flamenco singer after learning from local masters such as Manuel Torre and Antonio Frijones. Her professional journey started in the early 1950s following her widowhood. In 1965, she released her first album, Antología del cante flamenco y cante gitano, accompanied by guitarist Manuel Morao. Throughout her career, she participated in notable events such as the Festival Hommage à Manuel Torre (1959). Her unique voice and style were recognized with several honors, including a tribute from the flamencology chair and Andalusian folklore studies in 1985. Tia Anica la Piriñaca passed away on November 4, 1987.
