MD.45 was an American heavy metal/punk rock band formed in 1996 as a side project by Megadeth guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine and Fear vocalist Lee Ving. The band, named after the initials of both musicians converted to Roman numerals, released their sole album, The Craving, that same year. Many songs on the album were originally written for Megadeth but were reworked due to internal issues within the band. In 2004, Mustaine remastered The Craving, omitting Ving's vocals and harmonica parts, which led to controversy as Ving was not consulted about these changes. The original lineup included bassist Kelly LeMieux and drummer Jimmy DeGrasso. On June 24, 2023, Megadeth and Lee Ving performed "Nothing Is Something" live at a concert in Tampa, marked an MD.45 song has been performed live.
