Catherine Porter is an American singer and musician born in 1965. She achieved professional recognition touring with Michael Crawford in the production The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber before joining The Brian May Band in 1993. She performed as a backing vocalist on the tour supporting Guns N' Roses and appeared on the recordings Live at the Brixton Academy (1993) and Another World (1998). Porter contributed backing vocals to the Queen track “Let Me Live” (1995). Her recording career includes the debut solo studio album Something Good (2002), followed by the collaborative recording Gems for Ruby (2009) with James Pearson. The latter featured a cover of the Queen track “Somebody to Love” (2009). Porter has also performed in West End and Broadway musical theater productions including Sunset Boulevard and Next to Normal.
