Gheorghe Gheorghiu, born on January 1, 1954, in Brașov, Romania, is a Romanian singer. His musical talent was recognized at the age of six, leading him to attend the music school in Brașov where he studied violin and guitar. In 1975, Gheorghe Gheorghiu won the Grand Prize at the first national folk music festival, marking his breakthrough moment. He released his debut album Să fii tânăr in 1984, followed by Pentru dragoste in 1988 and "Unde dragoste nu e, nimic nu e" in 1993. After the Romanian Revolution, Gheorghe Gheorghiu embarked on international tours, performing in countries such as Israel, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Italy, Canada, and the United States. His song "Unde dragoste nu e, nimic nu e" was covered by Delia in her 2016 track 1234 (Unde dragoste nu e). In 2013, Gheorghe Gheorghiu was named an honorary citizen of Brașov.
