Rubén Juárez, born on November 5, 1947 in Ballesteros, Córdoba, Argentina, was an accordionist and singer known for his contributions to tango music. He began studying the bandoneon at a young age and joined the Youth Orchestra of Club Atlético Independiente in 1956. Juárez's breakthrough came in 1969 with the release of "Para vos, canilla" on Odeón, which became an immediate success. His career took off after performing on Nicolás "Pipo" Mancera's television show Sábados Circulares de Mancera. Throughout his career, he collaborated with notable figures such as Armando Pontier and released numerous albums, including Mi bandoneón y yo (1969). In 1989, Juárez acted in the film Tango Bar. He received the Konex Platinum Award for Male Tango Singer of the Decade in Argentina in 2005. Juárez passed away on May 31, 2010, at the age of 62.
