Néstor Eude Marconi is an Argentine tango bandoneonist, composer, and conductor born on June 15, 1942, in Álvarez, Santa Fe Province. He studied piano and composition before adopting the bandoneón. Marconi made his professional debut in 1958 with LT3 Radio Cerealista in Rosario. In 1960, he joined the orchestra of José Basso and subsequently moved to Buenos Aires to perform with Osvaldo Manzi and Lito Scarso. Marconi joined the Sexteto de Enrique Mario Francini in 1970 and founded the Vanguatrío ensemble. In 1987, he composed the first original soundtrack for an Argentine television series, Tiempo cumplido. His recordings include the albums Un bandoneón de Buenos Aires (1989) and Sobre imágenes (2001). Marconi's career includes international tours of Japan and a collaboration with Yo-Yo Ma on the 1997 album Soul of the Tango. He received Konex Merit Diplomas in 1985, 1995, and 2005.
