Elisabeth Brauß, born on January 19, 1995 in Hannover, Germany, is a pianist who began playing at age four. She was accepted into Elena Levit's piano class at six and performed at the Wunderkinder symposium in Stuttgart in 2006. From 2007 to 2010, Brauß studied at the Institute for the Early Promotion of Musically Gifted (IFF) at the Hannover University of Music and Drama. She won first place in the Bundeswettbewerb Jugend musiziert in 2002 and 2004, and the International Grotrian-Steinweg Competition in 2004, 2006, and 2007. Brauß performed with orchestras such as the Dortmund Philharmonic and Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. In 2013, she won the TONALi Grand Prix, performing Beethoven's "Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor" at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg. Her debut album, released in 2017 on OehmsClassics, featured works by Beethoven, Prokofiev, Chopin, and Denhoff and received an Editor’s Choice award from Gramophone magazine.
