Red Warszawa

Red Warszawais a heavy metal band from Copenhagen, Denmark, formed in 1986 by Jens Mondrup and Henning Nymand. Inspired by a Polish punk band introduced to them by their teacher, they initially played Polish punk before transitioning to heavy metal around 1990. Their debut album Hævi Mætal og Hass was released in 1996. The band's lyrics, predominantly in Danish, address taboo themes with a satirical edge. Notable albums include Omvendt Blå Kors (2002) and De 4 Årstider I Nordvest (2010). Red Warszawa also released live albums such as Live aus Kaiser Bierwurst Halle in 2001 and Man Kan Godt Høre at Det er Live in 2016. Their most recent studio album, Lade, was released in 2020. The band had a cameo in the Danish movie In China They Eat Dogs.
