Jacques Ogg, born on August 28, 1948, in Maastricht, Netherlands, is a harpsichordist and conductor known for his contributions to classical and baroque music. He studied the harpsichord with Anneke Uittenbosch and organ with Kamiel D'Hooghe in Maastricht, later graduating from the Conservatory of Amsterdam under Gustav Leonhardt. Ogg's career included notable performances as both a soloist and collaborator, working with musicians such as Wilbert Hazelzet on flute and Jaap ter Linden on cello. In 2000, he became the director of the Lyra Baroque Orchestra of St. Paul, Minnesota. His discography also featured several albums, including Pachelbel, Buxtehude, Kerll, Froberger ... German Harpsichord Music Before Js Bach (1990) and Johann Sebastian Bach, Goldberg Variations, BWV 988 (1996). Ogg has taught masterclasses worldwide.
